The Ministry of Culture and Tourism is embarking on a program to review the protection of wreck and war relics act this year.

Permanent Secretary for the Ministry John Wasi announced the review during the official launch of the International Museum Day in Honiara last week.

He said reviewing the Act is one key initiative of his Ministry this year.

“Let me also, ladies and gentlemen, reflect on some of the key initiatives my ministry is embarking on this year and that is the review of the Protection of Wrecks and War Relics Act.”

Another Ministry initiative the Permanent Secretary has announced is a new museum bill.
