GOVERNMENT COMMENDED FOR ITS EFFORTS ON B.V.R

The Joint Civil Society Group has acknowledged the government and the Solomon Islands Electoral Commission for their commitment to the Biometric Voter’s Registration which was open yesterday.

Interim Chairperson of the group Barnabas Hension made the statement saying this effort deserve commendation.

“We should all commend the government for ensuring that this new biometric voter registration system has actually kicked off the ground and that we are now starting to roll it out in the provinces and for that we commend the government in its commitment to make it happen,” said Mr Henson.

SIBC News understands the New Biometric Voter’s Registration starts yesterday ends on April 18th.
