Discussion on political parties merging and forming the next government has been an interesting development according to the Political Parties Commission observation.

Registrar of Political Parties Calvin Ziru made the statement during a media conference recently.

Mr Ziru said, registered political parties have the legal grounds to negotiate and form the next government if need be.

“Not only do we have the parties registered but because they are registered they have legal personality and they are able to establish themselves formally, it also allows them to sit at the table with some degree of ethification and begin to negotiate about forming government, so I think that’s a very interesting development for the country as well as the Political Parties Commission.”
