The Law Reform Commission has a new Chair.

The Commission has been without a head since 2009, after the former Chair, Sir Frank Kabui was elected Governor General.

The new Chair is Frank Paulsen, a lawyer by profession who has been working for the Department of Justice and Attorney General Office in Papua New Guinea for the past 18 years.

Mr Paulsen has also worked with PNG’s Law Reform Commission, and the country’s Constitution of Law Reform Commission.

Meanwhile, speaking about his appointment, Frank Paulsen says he has a desire to contribute and continue with the work of the Law Reform Commission.

Mr Paulsen also says there is a need to update the laws of Solomon Islands and he is committed with the experiences he has, to ensure this happens.

Frank Paulsen took up his appointment as Law Reform Commission Chair, Monday this week.
