Malu’u mini Hospital in North Malaita has undertaken its final measles campaign throughout North Malaita region.

The one-week measles campaign aims to provide measles vaccines for about 700 people and children throughout the region.

SIBC’s stringer John Andrew Kiri reports, Community Health Nurse Consultant Richard Maegerea said, the campaign is to ensure a measles free Christmas break.

“The program aims to prevent both children and adults from the infection as well as passing it further to other close relatives, especially during times when people are currently travelling home to have holidays with their families.”
