NUTRITIONAL TRAINING COURSES ENDED IN HONIARA
Two nutritional training courses have successfully ended in Honiara over the weekend.
Called the “Nutrition Training on Children’s Health” and Seed-Teacher Training for Diabetic Care”, the courses were conducted by a visiting team of four medical experts from the Taiwan Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital.
Team leader Sofia Wang said the team has worked continuously to help Solomon Islanders acquire a patient-centered diabetic caring knowledge.
She said the training aims at building professional medical capacities in Solomon Islands and to increase the number of skilled health workers and youth volunteers in urban and rural areas.
A total of 216 local health workers attended the training.
