PIF set to virtually appoint its new Secretary General tomorrow

Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) retreat for Pacific leaders is set for tomorrow via zoom to appoint a new PIF Secretary General.
This was after the current Secretary General Dame Meg Taylor’s tenure lapsed last year.
Other issues for discussions are the COVID-19 pandemic,climate change and West Papua Issue.
Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade Jeremiah Manele will join the meeting.
The meeting was postponed from last year due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
