PM LILO PRAISED POLICE FOR LAW IMPROVEMENT
Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo has commended the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force for putting emphasis on improving law and order in the country.
Speaking during his official visit to the Police Headquarters this week, Prime Minister Lilo said without good law, economic development is jeopardised and investors will be reluctant to come.
But the Prime Minister said, in the country’s efforts to improve law and order, he is happy the force placed more emphasis on these goals in its 2014 to 2017 framework.
“And so in our efforts to improve law and order I am happy to learn that the force under the 2014 to 2017 Framework on how the force’s strategic direction into the future has placed more emphasizes on achieving those goals. And certainly, realizing such goals will not be an easy task we have witnessed in the past, but I am confident that the force has stood a lot of tests in the recent years and you have continued to demonstrate that through your work as evident in the peacefulness of our country”.
SIBC News understands the Prime Minister’s visit on Tuesday coincided with the launching of the Police Strategic Direction 2014 to 2017.
