PM SOGAVARE ATTRACTED MEDIA INTERVIEWS IN RECENT ENGAGEMENTS
Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has attracted many media interviews during his recent international engagements.
A government statement says at the Pacific Islands Development Forum (PIDF) in Fiji, he was interviewed by the Fiji Sun upon arrival at the Nausori International Airport around 7pm, where he expressed his government’s position on the issue of climate change.
At the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) in Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Sogavare equally garnered wide media attention to the bold stance taken by the Solomon Islands government regarding West Papua so much so that at one point, the Prime Minister was approached for an interview while leaving the washroom of the conference area.
He was later interviewed by a host of other media, from Wansolwara, the USP students publication to the international media, the Islands Business, the Post Courier while keeping Solomon Islanders informed with regular interviews through SIBC.
As bold as he is on international issues, he was not one to shun the media, that despite the busy schedules, our Prime Minister always make time for interviews, even at the washroom door.
The Prime Minister leaves for New York today as his third international outing this year to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
