Police in Guadalcanal Province are investigating the death of a 50 year-old man at Kaio Village, Tasimboko area of North-East Guadalcanal.

The body of the deceased had been transported by police to the National Referral Hospital for a post mortem.

Acting Provincial Police Commander for Guadalcanal Province, Superintendent Nixson Manetoga said officers at Tetere Police Station were informed by the public on Saturday about a dead body discovered at Kaio Village.
