Provincial Police Commander (PPC) for Central Islands Province Inspector Patricia Leta has made a historical visit to Yandina, Russell Island, last week.

Community and church leaders of Yandina have praised Inspector Leta for taking time out to visit them.

Stringer Mr. Tome Kiki reports from Yandina.

“Chiefs, elders, church leaders, community leaders, and Sports leaders in and around the Yandina, Russel islands came out clearly yesterday afternoon to express their appreciation for the first ever visit made by PPC Leta recently.”

SIBC News understands the visit is part of Central Provincial Police initiative to strengthen its community partnership with local communities in the province.
