The Honiara City Council’s (HCC) Law Enforcement Division has thanked the general public of Honiara for a peaceful festive season.

Chair of HCC’s Law Enforcement, Charles Aiwosuga told SIBC News today while they are generally pleased with the public, people are reminded to keep Honiara City clean by respecting HCC properties.

Mr Aiwosuga made this statement after seeing HCC bins being emptied onto the streets by members of the public during the festive season.

He urges the public to comply with HCC ordinances and respect its properties in the City.

Meanwhile, the Law Enforcement Chair calls on all business houses in Honiara to comply with the Council’s business ordinance by settling their licenses as many have failed to pay up in the past.

Mr Aiwosuga adds the Council will soon conduct a business license check on all vehicles operating within the City to ensure they comply with HCC business ordinances.
