Years of study have paid off for more than 130 University of Southern Queensland students who were honoured at USQ Springfield’s graduation ceremony last weekend.

Among the graduates is Solomon Islander Jean Fuo’o, who graduated with a business degree from the University.

Graduands from a range of study areas officially became USQ graduates in front of a crowd of family and friends.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Jan Thomas congratulated each graduate for their hard work.

He said each year he has the honour of recognising the achievements of USQ’s best and brightest at its graduation ceremonies.

An email to SIBC News from the University confirms, Miss Fuo’o now works in her father’s construction company in Honiara.

She flew back with family members to attend the USQ graduation ceremony in Ipswich last weekend.
