The Solomon Islands Under 17 team has lost its match against their opponents Vanuatu in today’s Group B match at the Pago Stadium in American Samoa.

Vanuatu’s first goal came in the sixth minute when Sylvain Worworbu opens the scoring for his side with a shot from inside the box.

Solomon Islands’ Larry Zama equalises with a shot from inside the box for the home team in the 43rd minute.

Meanwhile Team Captain, Junior Hou was down from an injury 47 minutes before half-time.

Vanuatu’s second goal came 62 minutes into the second half when Ronaldo Wilkins converted a penalty and secured his side.

Vanuatu now stands at nine points while Tahiti at six and Solomon Islands three.

The home side will take on Tahiti at the Pago Park Soccer Stadium in American Samoa 1pm tomorrow.
