TROPICAL CYCLONE PAM THREATENING SOLOMON ISLANDS
Tropical Cyclone Pam and its associated bad weather continue to threaten parts of the country.
In Malaita Province, villages along Kwaibala River are experiencing intense flooding and there are reports several properties along the river have been washed away.
There are also reports of damages to piggeries along the Kwaia’afa River.
In Fiu flooding in the River has caused five families of 38 people to be evacuated to Fiu Village.
In Dala North, the Bridge has been inundated with flood waters causing issues of transport access for the travelling public of North and East Malaita.
