Chairman of Lakwili tribe in Savo Islands Chief James Kakava is calling on the Chairman of the Zizikato House of Chiefs, Sir Allan Kemakeza and members of the council of chiefs to refocus more on their duties as tribal leaders.

Free Lancer Eddie Grant Suku reports, Chief Kakava says since the establishment of the House of Chiefs, Council of Chiefs who represent the six tribes on Savo Island under-performed, degrading the traditional value of culture and custom of the land.

Mr Suku quotes Chief Kakava as saying, tribal leaders have involved themselves too much in politics instead of carrying out their customary duties.

Chief Kakava also says since the so-called leaders are not performing their designated duties to the standard, they should be scrutinised and give way to more committed new ones.
