DCC GOV’T CALLED ON TO HAVE CHANGED MINDSET
The Makira Ulawa Provincial Government has called on the Democratic Coalition for Change (DCC) Government to have a changed mindset to provide equal and fair infrastructure development for all provinces.
Premier Thomas Weape made the call during the inaugural banana festival in Kirakira Tuesday this week.
Premier Weape said, many potential tourism projects are yet to be completed in his province.
“The development of a marine type of wharf at San Catalina to facilitate tourist safe landing. The island lacks economic activities and the only way forward for them is to develop tourism as their main stay. In Kirakira, commonly known now as K-Town and we want the national government to have a mindset change to provide all provincial capitals with equal status and treatment as far as infrastructure is concern.
The Premier adds, his government needs to promote tourism in Makira, Ulawa province.
