NATIONAL OPERATION THEATRE RESUMES FULL SERVICE
The National Referral Hospital (NRH) has re-opened its operating theatres allowing full resumption of surgical services.
Announcing the re-opening today, National Referral Hospital chief Executive Officer Dr Steve Aumanu says the hospital management made the announcement following a successful inspection and lifting of a prohibition notice placed on the theatres.
The inspection was carried out by the Occupational Health and Safety Inspectors of the Ministry of Commerce, Industries, Labour and Immigration.
A prohibition order was issued in December 2015, requiring the lighting, ceiling, floor tiles, air-conditioning and water pipes to be replaced or repaired before the operating theatres can be reopened.
The operation theatres resumed full surgical service beginning Tuesday 17th May.
