The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation (SIBC) was established under the Broadcasting Act (1976) with the mandate to operate as an independent statutory authority and it began operational on January 1977. The SIBC Act authorized the Corporation to operate radio and television broadcasting services in the country. In 2007, Parliament enacted the State-Owned Enterprises Act, where SOE’s including SIBC is required to perform as a commercial entity to make a profit.  The Chief Executive Officer reports to the Board.  

The SIBC is looking for qualified, skilled and talented individuals to fill the position of the Chief Executive Officer. The successful applicant will lead the Corporation to fulfil its vision and mission.

 Application Submission: All Applications must be typed and to include: 

  1. Typed cover letter. 
  2. Applications should address the selection criteria particularly demonstrating how the applicants fit the JD of the position. 
  3. A resumè or curriculum vitae that includes personal qualification and work experience details. 
  4. Certified Copies of certificates and/or transcripts – uncertified copies of certificates or transcripts will not be considered. 
  5. Names and contact details of three (3) professional referees who the applicant has been associated within a professional capacity for at least two years. The referees must include those from the current or recent employer. 

Medical and Police Clearance: Successful applicants will be requested to produce a police clearance and medical certificate before taking up the position. 

The closing date of applications is 9th November 2020
